Zelma and Roscoe Akin talk about life in Boone County, Kentucky in the early 20th century. The Akins were county employees throughout their working lives, so much of the interview centers on the changes in the way the county has been governed and administered.

Zelma Akin lived in Boone County her entire life. She worked for the County Clerk and the county Attorney for a while before settling in the office of the Couty Tax Assessor where she remained for 21 years.
